The International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics primarily was supposed to be hosted in Kyiev, Ukraine, but due to Russian aggression it has become impossible. Georgian Local Organizing Team expresses solidarity with Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. We hope that Ukraine will be rebuilding and flourishing again very soon. Ukrainian and Georgian Local Organizing Committees will be co-hosts of IOAA 2022.
The International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics is an annual competition for high-school students from all over the world. Participant students must solve theoretical, data analysis and observational problems. The main goal of the IOAA is to promote interest in Astronomy and Astrophysics.
